W20 Germany publishes Project Handbook

The handover of W20 governance structures is facilitated by the publication of the W20 project handbook which contains a comprehensive documentation of W20 activities and a self-critical evaluation of the project's outcome.

At the end of its presidency, W20 Germany is proud to present the "W20 Project Handbook". This handbook is an important tool to enable a transparent and accountable consultation process at both civil dialogue and G20 level. It lays open the individual working steps of the multi-stakeholder dialogue preceding the W20 and G20 summit.

The handbook offers a thorough evaluation of all W20 activities and discusses to what extent W20 was able to fulfill its self-set goals. Through the identification of best practices and lessons learned, the handbook provides a valuable set of recommendations on how to accelerate Women20 in the future. These insights are relevant for following presidencies as well as to all kinds of civil society networks and women movements intending to influence global policy making.

Finally, the handbook will be handed over to the following W20 chair in Argentina as a symbol of the German presidency in the framework of the W20 kick-off event in Buenos Aires on December 11th.

Women20 Germany thanks its partners who helped facilitate the creation of the handbook: the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, followed by the international implementation partner Emerging Market Sustainability Dialogues (EMSD).
